Then I'll continue with the main reason to visit Austria: Airpower 2011. With a spotter pass you got access to different spotter points, one of them is a lifting platform bounce

Sadly the Saudi Hawks had to cancel one of their shows due to a bird strike. But the Austrian mechanics fixed it overnight and painted a "Steiermark Adler" (local eagle insignia) on the nose Laughing

NAS Oceana Air Show 2011: Bad weather, less aircraft every year and a lot of fast flying Hornets cheers

But it was very dissapointing to be in USA and not see the Blue Angels flying and get no images of a Super Hornet at the static display at the major US Navy base
